Sean Purcell qualified as an accountant with Courtaulds Textiles Plc. and has worked in a number of different finance roles both in UK and overseas. He has over 20 years experience in delivering finance and management development programs. He was a founding member of AMT/FTC, which grew into the UK’s largest accountancy training business and was then bought by Kaplan. He is a founding partner of Wise up Now which aspires to help finance staff be more than just an accountant. He has written numerous articles for financial publications and has served on several committees at the ACCA and helps CIMA with their senior financial director development. As a father of three sporty children spends most of his free time as a dad taxi and not enough time on his allotment!

Sarah Ardiles

Sarah Ardilles qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte in 2001 and worked in their audit department in London.  She delivered training courses at Deloitte, before moving to Kaplan (formerly FTC) where she spent several years teaching Accounting and Financial Reporting across the various accountancy qualifications (ICAEW, ACCA and CIMA). As well as having a technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, she also delivers courses on book-keeping, group accounting and the analysis of financial statements. Sarah now works on a free-lance basis in London and the South of England.

Steve Lumby_crop650Steve Lumby brings a wealth of experience and is a renowned expert in making complex corporate finance issues easy to understand. He is a former Managing Director of The Business Education Division of Nord Anglia Education Plc. and also former MD and then Chairman of LCA In London. After five years in industry with H.J. Heinz Company, he spent several years lecturing and researching in corporate financial management at the London School of Economics. He was a specialist advisor to the Parliamentary Select Committee on Energy and is author of the UK’s leading text on Corporate Finance now in its eighth edition.

William Parrot spent the first 10 years of his working life as an officer in the army. He then trained as an accountant with KPMG and after qualifying he moved into their Corporate Finance department.  After various roles in KPMG and Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) he then specialised in training and development. A keen traveller he has vast experience of international development and has delivered  programs in 22 different countries! William is married with two teenage boys. He enjoys cycling and mountain walking.

Dan Tuckey has been involved in finance and accountancy for over 30 years.  Dan started his professional career with Marks and Spencer plc in administration management.  He worked out of 5 different retail stores in the West Country before moving into a career as a Chartered Accountant.  He qualified in 1991 having trained with Coopers and Lybrand in Bristol, obtaining experience in general and computer auditing.  Dan then moved into professional training and development, where he has delivered a variety of courses in accountancy, finance and personal development.  He continues to operate (apart from a 2 year sojourn into primary school teaching) in the accountancy and banking sectors in the UK and overseas.  Dan is married and spends his spare time ferrying drum kits and sporting gear around the south of England for his 3 sons.
